National Poetry Writing Month - 2013

Audience of One

by Jeanie Killion

With all my heart

I worship you.

My feet, my hands,

They worship, too.

With pirouettes,

I fill the stage,

And every step

becomes a praise.

You are my

Audience of One.

I dance before You,

Risen Son.

You are my

Audience of One.

Adoring you --

Heart, mind, & strength,

Lord, I would go

To any length

To testify

So all will know

That you are wonderful!

Across the stage,

I leap in praise,

Rejoicing in

Your wondrous ways.

And, bowing low,

I'm filled with awe

That you would pay

The highest cost

To save me with

Your only Son

Even if I were

The only one.

The only one.

If I could dance

All day and night,

Lord, it would be

My soul's delight.

I couldn't dance

Enough for you,

My Audience of One.

For You did pay

The highest cost

To love me

From a rugged cross

As if I were

The only one.

The only one.
